Our resort..
.. two twin houses which have two one-floor apartments each. It is situated in the olive groves of Lyridianà, along the old national road between Kolymbari (10 min) and Kissamos (10 min).
We are immersed in the calm of the hills, where only the chirping of the cicadas can disturb the peace. The vast view of Kissamos bay, the Grambousa peninsula and the surrounding hills complete the picture of nature and relax.
The apartments are sourrounded by a rich flowered garden and an outdoor infinity pool, natural quarz finished.

ABOUT US
“Ζεις μόνο μια φορά, αλλά αν ζήσεις στην Κρήτη, μια φορά είναι αρκετή” “You only live once but if you live in Crete, once is enough”
We have enjoyed many wonderful holidays in Greece, almost every summer since we met, about thirty years ago, in high school. As time passed, we started to imagine and immerse ourselves more and more in a Greek life: the sunshine, the olive groves, the sea, hills and cicadas, the heat, the sweltering summers, the tranquility, nature, long warm evenings, a 9-month summer, the sun, the sun, the sun. So after much fantasizing, we decided simply… to do it!
It was a long process, mentally and physically. First, the decision to leave behind everything we had: our lovely house, good jobs, a good current situation, a secure future, not to mention the wrench of moving far away from family and dear friends. It was difficult. But the dream prevailed.
It was in spring of 2014 that we decided to sell everything and bring ourselves closer to this new life. It took us two years of preparation, of every kind, before finally we could depart. And then it happened: we packed all of our stuff, we left Aesch-Zürich (Switzerland), bidding farewell to everyone and set off to travel South, destination: Crete.
We disembarked in Chania in 2016, on April 5th, at 5 a.m.
And we got busy.

Καλημέρα! We are the Didones (now a family of four!): Claudia, Marco and our daughters Sofia and Lucia. We were born in Lugano, Switzerland, with age of 20 we moved to Zurich, for the following twenty years of our lives. In Zurich, wonderful city, is where we graduated, worked and married. It’s where Sofia was born, where we became teachers, and where we began to dream! And there we go, continuing our discovery of new passions and the many interests we share, one of which is Greece! We left a wonderful country and city, our beloved family and our fantastic friends…
And now, after eight years, our dream has been realised: the four apartments we imagined are now built, fully functional and quite booked 😉 Where? Right in the middle of a beautiful olive grove, on a hill with a wonderful view of the sea – exactly what we wished for!
The rest…well… top choice for us! We have met a new culture, a new language and another way of living. Not always easy. We have made friends, taken part in many activities locally and are now part of the small community of Kissamos.
Sofia has adjusted perfectly and has her Greek accent even speaking in Italian and Lucia, well, she was born here, so she considers herself the only real greek member of the family 😉 They both have an intense sporty and social life, not to mention (according to the educational style here) the enormous “free” time they dedicate to the school… but we are getting used to that as well 😛
So, here we are, in our slice of paradise.
Greece is not for everyone and Crete is for few: where it seems there are no rules, where one minute everything seems easy, the next impossible and the next no-one knows anything about . But, in the end everything works out, in it’s own way, in a different way!
We feel different. We feel Crete. WeCrete.
